Southwest Washington Food Hub

The Southwest Washington Food Hub provides food distribution for a variety of non-profit and government organizations.

In recent years the hub has aggregated and distributed produce for several food aid and farm to school contracts. The Food Security Box Program is funded by the American Rescue Plan (ARP), and distributes weekly produce boxes to various agencies. The hub has also participated in a Direct to Food Banks Program that helped farmers sell produce directly to food banks.

The hub continues to use its infrastructure to help distribute food from farms to hungry people.

Our role as farmers is to feed our community

The Southwest Washington Food Hub was awarded another ARP grant in 2022, through our partners at Thurston County Economic Development Council. The funds from this grant will allow the hub to aggregate produce from our farmers and distribute it to Thurston County based organizations throughout the year.

Olympia High School and Aberdeen School District have been awarded grants from the WSDA to order locally-grown produce from the Southwest Washington Food Hub for the 2022 school year. The hub has been working with local farmers to procure and aggregate locally grown and made products for schools.
