Kohlrabi Gratin with Oyster Mushrooms

Check out this recipe from Food52.com for a kohlrabi gratin with oyster mushrooms. Since the kohlrabi is purple, it will look a little different than the image, but the taste should be the same.
Ingredients:
  • 3-4 kohlrabi
  • 1 onion
  • 300 grams oyster mushrooms
  • 4 medum potatoes
  • 250 milliliters whole milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vegeta (seasoning)
  • natural without glutamate (a good substitute is powder bouillon
  • 1:1)
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 100 milliliters olive oil
Directions:
  1. Slice the onion and oysters
  2. then fry on the oil
  3. Slice thinly kohlrabi and potato
  4. slices should be transparent
  5. use a grater
  6. Sprinkle a baking dish with oil
  7. make a thin layer of potatoes and kohlrabi
  8. sprinkle with roasted oyster mushrooms and onions
  9. drizzle with oil. Repeat the process several times
  10. then put onions and oyster on the top
  11. Mix milk with eggs and season with pepper
  12. nutmeg
  13. vegeta
  14. pour the mixture over layers in the baking dish
  15. Bake in oven for about 60-75 min. at 180 ° C (356 oF)
  16. if the top layer begins burning
  17. reduce the temperature and continue baking

Serve with chutney or with other flavoring.
